Welcome to Micro Merchant Systems (MMS). MMS (“Micro Merchant Systems,” “MMS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides technology-based solutions that support pharmacists in their work to build healthier communities (such services, together with the Sites and the “Services”) to our MMS customers and end users (“Customers”, “you,” or “your”). This Privacy Policy explains what Personal Data (defined below) we collect in connection with or through the Services, how we use and share that data, and your choices concerning our data practices. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party applications or software that may integrate with the Services or any other third-party products, services or businesses, nor does it apply to Personal Data relating to Customers’ End Users that we process in the course of providing our Services to our Customers. Such information is processed pursuant to our agreements with our Customers.

As part of our Service offerings, we may provide services to health care provider clients that are “covered entities”, as such term is defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and its implementing regulations (“HIPAA”). While we are not a covered entity, we may serve as a “business associate” to such clients. To the extent that we are deemed a “business associate”, we may be subject to certain provisions of HIPAA with respect to PHI, which is information that relates to your past, present, or future physical or mental health or condition and related health care services. Any PHI to which we obtain access through a covered entity is subject to specific protections under HIPAA and will be used and disclosed only in accordance with such applicable law. Any information that does not constitute PHI may be used or disclosed in any manner permitted under this Privacy Policy or as you may authorize, as permitted by applicable law.
